It's Finally Starting

Hellooo all!! How was your week?!?! I hope that it was amazing! I'm sure that y'all can't wait to hear about mine so here we go!

This week we started doing the service that was written down. So that's fun! Tuesday we are at a warehouse food for the homeless/ people who need extra help sorta thing. We just bag food to send it to other places and that's fun. Wednesday we work in a similar place but this one does clothes and food, so that fun too. Most there we just organize the stuff there.
Thursday we had district council, which was good. The only problem is that it's an hour away from where we live, but the other to sets of missionaries in our district live there because that's their area. So, lots of travel time on Thursdays!
Friday we went to a less active members house and we were there for 3 hours. We had some great conversations,  and it was fun getting to know her!
Saturday we didn't really do anything too fun. Except it finally happened. After months of not doing it, I came back to get me....
I tripped off the sidewalk! (Lol) And I got the banged up knee to prove it!
And yesterday we went to church, and Sister Hansen and I had to give a talk. We talked about the importance of friends, and they both went well. Then later we went to a members house for dinner, and that was good too.
Today we had our district activity, and that was fun! We had lunch and played card games. But it was still fun.

We finally get to meet with David on Wednesday! He still really wants to be baptized,  but you can tell that he's hesitant to meet with us sisters, so I hope it goes well. And I started talking to this guy through texting, and it's going really well! So please continue to pray for David that he will meet with us, and keep progressing!

Spiritual thought:
God did not create us to be alone.
Yes he created men and women for us, so we could get married and have families. But he also created us to have friends.
Friends are important because it's someone else who can relate, and have fun with you and help change up our daily lives. I encourage you to be grateful for the friends you have, and always be looking to grow your friends/friendships!

I love hearing from you all! And can't wait to see what y'all are up too!! Until next week,
Love Sister Alex Hersom!!
