4 months already!?!

What is this?!?!? I can't believe it's October, and that I've hit 4 months on my mission already!!! Anyway, how are y'all and how was your week?!? I hope that it was soo good!! I would love to hear about it!! And I'm sure that y'all would love to hear about mine, so keep on reading!!👇👇👇

Tuesday: lessons and service
We had lots of lessons on Tuesday, which was amazing! And then we did our service. I think my favorite part of Tuesday was we were in a lesson with our friend Charles, (he's so close to getting baptized y'all) and it was basically a follow up lesson, where we were sewing where he was at in remembering what we had taught him and if he was living the commandments and stuff. Towards the end of the lesson we were all testifying, (me, Sister Braun, and the member we had with us) and it looked like Charles was crying a bit! The spirit was that strong!! It was so amazing!!

Wednesday: District council and Huber Heights
So Wednesday we had our district council a bit earlier than usual, but that was fine. It was good, and apparently my DL thinks I have good hand writing or something because he keeps asking me to write on the board. (🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️😅) anyway, after district council we were supposed to have district lunch, but that didnt end up happening, so sad but it all turned out OK. Then we had a lesson to go to, and then we packed and headed for Huber Heights Ohio,  which is where our STLs live. We had exchanges, and y'all let me tell you, it was the best exchange I've had on my mission so far!! (I know that it's only my 3rd exchange, but still) we taught a lot of lessons with the STLs and they were so amazing!!

Thursday: Exchanges, district lunch, and lessons
So Thursday we had the rest of our exchanges and it was a little funny because the STLs forgot that they had district council on Thursday! (🤣) so Sister Braun and I did some tasks, (calling and texting people/friends) while they did that. Then their district decided that they were going to do their district lunch! (Hence the "it all tuened out ok" earlier) so us, and our ZLs, (Zone leaders) ended up crashing the Huber Heights district lunch, it was do fun!! That was part of why this has been the best exchange I've been on. The other part of it is, I think that it was because when we were in the car, or walking back to the car, or whenever we had a minute, we were talking and joking and having fun while doing the work. And in the past exchanges have been good, but not in the same way this one was. Our STLs are Sister Bigler, (an STL I had in Lawrenceburg my 1st transfer) Sister Lilya,  and Sister Bentley. They are such an amazing trio of sisters and amazing missionaries! Sadly Sister Bentley is going home at the end of this transfer, but I'll see her again in the future because she likes Miraculous, so y'all know what that means!! Sisters Lilya and Bigler are curious as to what it is, so we'll have to show them when we're all home. And then back here in Springfield we had some more lessons which were so good!

Friday: Weekly planning and lessons
Friday was regular weekly planning and more great lessons!!

Saturday: Huge lesson!!
So a few weeks ago we had a member from Florida text us and ask us to have a lesson with his friend who had some questions about the church. So we set up a time to meet on Saturday. So Saturday we went over to this guy's house and had an Amazing 2 hour discussion!!! We were answering this guys questions and teaching him everything he asked about!!! The spirit was so strong and he was so genuine!!! Then we had part of English class with the Haitians and that was good, but there weren't a lot of people so we left early...

Sunday not too much happened,  we set up a bunch of member lessons and lessons with friends, and had English class again. So that was good, but in English class there was even less people there than yesterday! So we again left early,  but went back to help clean up! The Steiningers, (our senior couple missionaries) were very appreciative!! Then as we were finding that night we ran into a hard-core basher, (people that argue with us on what we believe and teach) and all I could really do was laugh afterwards. My 1st hard-core basher and I laugh. Oh well.

Spiritual thought:
This week we had the 2 year mark of my mom passing away. Because she loves the temple I would love if y'all participated in commemorating her by going to the temple! Whether that going in and doing work, or just by being on the grounds, I encourage you to make time, and go. (Sadly I can't go to the temple right now, because there isn't one near by, so you can go extra for me.)

So today we have our district activity in Bellefontaine!! We're going bowling!!! So I may not respond until next p-day if you send me an email!! We'll be there by 3pm, (so 1pm y'alls time) Anyway thanks for all you love and support and emails! I love all the updates and each and every one of you!! Hope that your week is fire!!
Love Sister Alex Hersom!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
