If a chicken can come to church, so can you! (12/11/23)

 Heyo!!!! What's up everyone??! How are ya? How was y'alls week? Mine was good, honestly I'm just trying to remember what happened this week, but here's what I can remember. So I guess ya better start reading!

Highlights:
☆I got to talk to my grandparents on Monday!! Loved it! (Love ya grandma and papa!!!❤️🥰) 
☆We went to Panda Express for lunch on Monday!! Which isn't in every area in my mission, so that's a brag!! Shout-out to Jenn for making it possible!!! Seriously thank you so much!!🥳🤩❤️
☆Tuesday we had to go to the library for sister Braun to put pics on a flash drive. Sadly it didn't work, and oddly the computer so was using froze, and she had been looking at this one picture of the Springfield district, before I was transferred in. So its frozen on her, and her companion. And the Creole elders. And here we are picking out every thing about this picture because we don't know what else to do. 😂 We did get it figured out tho, so don't worry! 
☆District council!! It was good! It was fun!
☆Friday we had our ward Christmas party, and it was so FUN!!! There was lots of yummy food, and the members are fun and yeah!! We sat with a recent convert and her son. And they're so funny! Everyone at the table started to roast me bc I ate a sugar cookie, decorated like a gingerbread cookie, feet first. The frosting, (on the head especially) was thicker than the cookie itself! So I ate the head last bc it had the most frosting. Everyone thinks I'm crazy now. (Which honestly isn't new, so... 😂) 
☆The primary kids sang at the Christmas party, and I started singing with them, bc obviously. (I was in primary before my mission) So Sister Braun and Andrea, (the new convert we were sitting with) started telling me to go sing with them. I said I couldn't remember the 2nd verse lyrics, and then I remembered them so I started singing. They just laughed and rolled their eyes. Also the ward choir sang, and it was really good.
☆Saturday, was kinda boring, but Shout-out to Sister Braun's parents!! They sent her a Texas roadhouse gift card!! So we went there for dinner on Saturday for sister Braun's year mark, and my 6 months! (Sister Brauns year mark isn't officially until tomorrow, but she was nice and we celebrated my 6 and her 12 together!) 
☆A chicken came to church yesterday! (Hence this week's title)
☆We got asked to help teach YW's!!!! It was so fun!!
☆So, I finally caved. After nearly 2 transfers of asking and begging and getting others to gang up on me... I finally joined the ward choir! It honestly was really fun and reminded me of how fun it was with Mrs. Harrel in my high school choir. 

Sadly Sister Braun got sick, so we haven't been doing much.

Friends:
☆Charles is doing pretty ok. He didn't come to church yesterday because of some family stuff that he had going on. But he's slowly coming around. We just have to wait.
☆Gerda, we ran into at the store while doing some store contacting this week! She's been really busy with finals, so hopefully we'll be able to meet soon!
☆Isaiah! He's a 10 year-old that the missionaries have been teaching for awhile now. We've been able to start meeting with him again over video call, so that's cool! 

Spiritual thought:
 My thought today actually follows right along with last week's Come Follow Me. As we taught YW's yesterday we were a bit more focused in the atonement. "How does Jesus Christ make Heavenly Father's plan possible" has posed a great question and thinking pattern for me. It's helped me think about the Atonement in a different light. We should be glad for our daily ability to use the atonement in our lives. It's there for when we mess up, but it's also there for when we're going through hard times. So this week, I want to challenge you to ponder: How can I better use the atonement in my life? 
I know that as you do this, you'll be able to see the blessing that come from it, and be able to see in your life what a blessing the atonement really is!! 

Well that's it for this week. We have transfers this week. So we'll know on Wednesday night, and it'll change officially on Friday, so sorry but y'all will have to wait until next week to find out whats happening! Anyway, thanks for reading and I hope that y'all have a great week!

  Howdy all! I hope you had an exciting week! I know I did, so let's get started!! Highlights: ☆Tuesday we had district council because transfers are on Thursdays now instead of Fridays. So fun! We had a good quickish council and then Elder Reynolds had a surprise for us. Sister Lilya was getting ready to go home, and apparently when a missionary goes home he does this. We played Jepordy! Yep! It was actually really fun! Sadly I can't remember who won and who lost, but I do remember it was really, really close.  ☆After that we had district lunch!!   Hey, howdy, hi everyone!!! I hope that you guys had a fabulous week! I know I did and it absolutely flew by! And it was good! So ya ready to hear all about it? Good, cause here we go!! Highlights: ☆We found another 5 friends this week! Through much labor, patience and faith, the Lord is pouring His blessings out on us, and I'm so thankful!  ☆We also had 5/5 members at our lessons! Also thank you Heavenly Father!! ☆We found Service!! We're at a food pantry!! It's a slow season rn as it's for elementary schools, but their letting us come in about once a week to help out! ☆Exchanges were good.  ☆District council was fun! Apparently we've all gotten bashed this week, rip us. But at least we're learning from it! ☆We've been having a good amount of lessons again!!  Hey, hey, hey everyone!!! Another week has flown by and slowly! Idk if that makes sense, so basically it was another fast week with a few slow days! I hope that you all had a fantastic week! And I hope that your not skeletons on the ground beacuse you melted from the the heat! (Hehehehehehe! 🤣🤣) But seriously I hope that your not dying from the heat too much! Anyways, let's read about the week, shall we? Highlights: ☆ZONE CONFERENCE!!!!! It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Good!!! It was definitely the thing I needed and it did not disappoint!! ☆I opened my ketchup at Zone conference by myself!! (I know that doesn't sound like an accomplishment, but it is. Every Zone conference I have to ask my comp for help to open it, because my hands are slick from opening my sandwich and pulling it out.)
