6-20-2023 Letter

Hey all!!! How was y'alls week??? Mine was awesome!!!

So, let's jump right in!
Wednesday I got to the provo MTC, it was sad leaving my family, but great meeting my district! There's 9 of us.Me, Sis.Thayne (My Comp), Sis.Dahle, Sis.Wilkes, Sis.Shakespear, Sis.Eck, and our 3 elders, Elder Olson, Elder Gardener. and Elder Rabner. Sis.Shakespear, Sis.Eck and Elder Rabner are all going to Orlando, Florida. Elders Gardener and Olson are going to Anchorage Alaska, and the rest of us are going to Cincinnati Ohio. I absolutely LOVE my district!! They are super great, and fun to be around! Matter of fact, yesterday we played wiffle ball for our daily exercise. It was the Dragon Warriors vs. the Dragon Slayers. (I think you can already tell who won, lol) Me Sis.Wilkes, Sis.Shakespear, and Elder Gardener were the Dragon Warriors, and everyone else was a Dragon Slayer. (Except for Elder Rabner who went for a run around the field we were playing in.)
Sisters Shakespear and Eck, (who me and Sis.Thayne share a room with) Heart attacked our bunk bed, so now we want to come up with a way to do something like that back.

We also get to go to the temple all the time. We did baptisms and confirmations on Thursday, Inititories on Friday, an Endowment this morning, and this Friday we get to go observer Sealings. So, always lots of fun!

The teachers we have are pretty great too. We have Sis.Alleman, and Bro.Cheney as our teachers, and they have really helped me to understand how to teach people better. We practice teaching in class all the time, like yesterday we were learning how to invite people to be baptized, and how to teach the commandments.
Also everyday, we decided to call Bro.Cheney a different nickname. Yesterday was Bro.Chimpanzee, and I think tomorrow will be Bro.Chiweeny.

In some fun news, this week the MTC is hosting a Mission president seminar. So we'll have a bunch of new mission presidents walking around starting tomorrow. But the cool thing about it, is that all of the quorum of the 12 apostles will be here!!!! And we get to have a devotional with all of them on Friday night!!!!! How cool is that?!
If we see them walking around campus, we're not supposed to approach them, but they can come talk to us! So that will be both really cool, and really fun!

I got to see my friend this week walking around campus. Elder Ben Jones, and it's been kinda nice to have someone else here that I know besides my district. But Elder Jones leaves for Peru on Thursday, it's sad to see him go, but I know that he'll do great!!

Well, I think that's all for this week. So hope that y'all have an amazing week, and I'll write again next Tuesday!!
Love,
Sister Alex Hersom

Here are some pics from this week, I'll send more when I get them!
