Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to...

Sept. 25th, 2023

Hey all!!! Did my title gettcha? Well, unless your friends with me on Facebook, you'll have to wait a little  it longer to find out transfer news.😈 Anyway, How was y'alls week?!? Mine was slightly crazy, (but honestly when is it not? Lol) so let's jump right in! (Also I'm making this a long email, just for you Sister Hansen)

Tuesday: Service
Tuesday was our regular service, and to be honest, I can't remember what else we did, soo...

Wednesday: Service and transfer calls!!
Wednesday we had our regular service, because we didn't know who was getting transferred, we stayed there from like 10-3:30. Which was so fun!! (I'll include the pics in here) then we got to go to ym/yw!! We were invited to be there! Sister Hansen and i were judges for the youths cooking competition! It was literally so fun, and we're not dead, so all good in the end lol. Then transfer calls. Which was sad, but they came anyway. (Still not saying yet!😈)

Thursday: Goodbye to members!
Bc of transfers we set up some member visits to say goodbye to members. Sister Lambert called it! She told us who was leaving like last week, and she was so right! When we told her on Thursday she was like: 'I was right!!' Sister Hansen and I just laughed. But she was sad to see one of us leave, and we were to. We had dinner with the bishop and his family, so we said goodbye to them, and we went and returned the games the marshalls let us borrow. And said goodbye, and texted a bunch more ppl.

Friday: Transfers!
So Friday was transfer day! Any guesses as to who left? Me? Sister Hansen? Y'all thought Sister Hansen, right? Well, here's the news that y'all have been dying for. Drumroll....

I got transferred!!! Yep me! I am sadly no longer in Lawrenceburg Indiana. I am now in Springfield Ohio, which is where Sister Hansen was trained!! My new comps name is Sister Braun, and she's pretty cool! She also loves Miraculous so we're a force to be reckoned with! 🤣🤣  Also I get to drive now!! Whoop, whoop! Sister Braun didn't drive much before the mission, and hasn't driven on the mission. So on Friday, Elder Stewart came up to me in a panic, and asked me if I could drive. I was a little confused, but said yes. He was like: 'Freeway and everything?' and I was like, Yeah. He said: Good, you're driving! And he gave me the car keys! So now I'm driving again!!! At first I was a bit nervous as it had been awhile, but literally like 5 minutes in, I was in my driving groove! So yay for driving!! I also got to see my MTC district friends!! I got to see Sister Thayne, she's now second half training another sister, and they're doing French in Florence KY!!! She's now close to where I was and I moved across the mission! Anyway, I also got to see Sister Wilkes!!!!!!!!!!! She is doing so good!! She is also a French sister, and she's in the Cincinnati North zone, and I'm in Dayton North. So basically we just switched zones and added 'north' to the end. As for Sister Dahle, I sadly didn't get to see her bc she is traning!! Still in Winchester, and training a brand new sister! So big changes for district 10-G sisters! Then I sadly said goodbye to Sister Hansen, and got in the car with Sister Braun, and drove the 2-2 1/2 hour drive to Springfield Ohio. (The drive was good for those of you who were wondering) We then unpacked a little and got ready for some lessons that we had that night. So good stuff.

Saturday: Learning the area!!
So Saturday we had a lesson, which was good, then we did some finding, and explored the area a little bit as we went to Chick-fil-A for lunch. Then that afternoon we went to English class!! There are a a lot of Haitians up here, we missionaries help out the senior couple up here, do English class with them. They are learning English from Haitian Creole, and honestly French is the closest language. So they speak, Haitian Creole, and French, and some of them do speak Spanish, and then they are learning English. (🥴😬🤯) The Haitians are really, really smart. Anyway, so we're in English class with the senior couple missionaries, and the Haitian Creole speaking elders! Elder Dujardin, (do•zhar•don, hint of the 'N' but don't pronounce it) He's actually from France, like really. He's from Northern France, idk exactly where, but.... Then his 2 trainees, Elder Tippetts, and Elder Sainsbury, (Sanesbury. They are one transfer behind me) These 3 elders are literally so funny!! Always making us laugh and have fun, but also encouraging us to do the work. Elder Dujardin is my 3rd DL in my 3rd district in my 3rd transfer. (Unless you count the MTC, then make it 4) The elders are literally so great, we like 'em!

Sunday: Churchand more english
So Sunday we went to church and I was the new sister. Ppl would ask my name and I would tell them, and then tell them if it was easier to call me Sister H. ( I got elder Dujardin to call me that at first, but now he's been trying so hard to say my name right, ☺️! I've been trying so hard to pronounce his name right, bc he's been doing the same to me! The elders are literally the nicest ever) So honestly the ward is like oh Sister Hersom isn't that hard. And they're right, it's not, but I don't really expect ppl to keep getting it right all the time so...
Anyway, after church we did some other stuff, then back to English class! The youth were there this time, and that was so fun!! Afterward as we were cleaning up, Sister Braun and I started talking about Miraculous, (obviously) and a few minutes later the elders came over to join our convo. We asked Elder Dujardin if he knew what Miraculous was, and in response, he started singing the theme song in French!! Sister Braun and I were very excited, to say the least. Elder Tippetts was like, yeah I've heard about it, and  Elder Sainsbury, was like 'y'all crazy.' But when I come home and have an appt, I'm having a bunch if friends over and we are binging Miraculous, 1. Bc I want to, 2. Elder Tippetts says that he's tried to get into, but hasn't yet. This is where I come in. Just needs some to be there to help hype him up about Miraculous! And 3. I have friends who I told, we were binging, so.
(I know that when y'all read my email, y'all want to hear about Miraculous, right? Lol 😂)

In other news,
Elder McCord, (My last DL) is now an AP, (assistant to the president)
The Lawrenceburger district is a thing again
I passed off my teaching tool!! (Which is really good in my mission)
I have hit 2/3 states in my mission, and now need to serve in KY.
