Krama is real!
Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a fantastic week and a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know that my Thanksgiving was so good! And my week was pretty ok, so let's get to it!
Highlights:
☆I got to talk to my family for longer this week as it was Thanksgiving break. So that was nice!
☆We've had an insane amount of contacting people this week. So a lot of our schedules throughout this week are crazy with contacts. (Records of who we texted and when and what)
☆We had District council!!!
☆We gave Elder Gertsch a thank you present for finding my phone! (Elder Dujardin tried to steal part of it, and Elder Gertsch told him no. "You don't like American chocolate anyway." It was funny to watch)
☆We didn't have to proselyte on Thanksgiving at all! We thought that it was going to be a half pros day, but nope!
☆Thanksgiving we went to the church and had dinner with a fun couple and their family! It made me remember how fun family gatherings are!
☆We had some good lessons on Friday.
☆Sister Braun said: "Might as well embrace the creepy." 🤣 She's been working on writing a story.
☆In our zone chat, someone tagged Elder Terry! 🤣 He left for the Marshall Islands last transfer! (In our chat we hype each other up, and talk about miracles that we've seen. Usually we'll tag another companionship afterwards)
☆The radio stations started playing Christmas music!! And we can listen to it because President said so!!!!!🥳🥳🥳
☆The elders pranked our car, by putting a pic of Jesus in our windshield. But we didn't find it until Sunday morning on our way to church! 🤣
☆Our area report call with Elder Gertsch on Saturday night! Sister Braun was eating some chocolate and shared with me. And when Elder Gertsch saw, he pulled out his own chocolate and ate with us!
☆Sunday the ward choir sang in Sacrament meeting. We were practicing before, (Sister Braun sings in the choir. I do not. But the Elders do!) And Elder Dujardin told me that he "hired me" to page turn for him so he could keep playing his flute. (Hence the email name as I was teasing Sister Braun about going up and singing in church. But that's what I get I guess. Lol)
☆They also asked me to say the closing prayer for sacrament meeting, instead of opening. More blessing me for me! (Lol)
☆As we were preping for English class I randomly started singing, (that's still the same, and honestly always will be) and Elder Dujardin goes: "You're good, why don't you sing in choir?" Then Sister Braun proceeded to get everyone in the room to tell me that I should sing in the ward choir. I said that I'd think about it.
☆We had someone come to church! And we didn't know until we texted and asked him! So yay miracles!
So there was an ET this week and now the Piqua ZLs are in our District. The other companionship that was in their district got ETed out for some reason. And now the ZLs are in our district, so we'll see what happens!
Also we went home for dinner last night and the dishwasher was on. But neither of us had turned it on. So demon dishwasher everyone! We got a demon dishwasher! 🤣
Friends:
☆Charles is responding to us! He was texting us his short jokes that he's made to his sister, and honestly they're pretty hilarious. He did tell us that because the holiday season is so busy for work, he can't be forced to take off any days that he's not forced too. Which is sad, cause that means he's not going to be coming to church. But we'll keep trying to help him!
☆Gerda is doing pretty good. She said that she had a good Thanksgiving and soon were going to ask her how her Book of Mormon reading is going.
We do have more friends, and they are doing well. Just not anything super exciting going on with them yet.
Spiritual thought:
This week I had a really good personal study one morning. I call feeling the spirit a lot while doing something a "Spiritual high"
So as I'm on this Spiritual high, I wondered what I could be doing better to be on a spiritual high all day. I do know that as we continue to keep our covenants and do our best that the spirit can be with us, and keep us on a spiritual high, all day, every day. So I want to invite to find a way that you can have a spiritual high all day! I know that you'll be able to recognize and follow the spirit!
Well, I think that's about it for this week. It's not to much, but still having fun as we go, and learning how to best help our friends learn and grow in the gospel, as well as growing our own testimony! Today is our district activity, and we're all really excited! So I'll have to tell y'all about that! But I hope that you all have an amazing week! I love you all, and have a great start to your Holiday season!
Happy Holidays!!
Love, Sister Alex Hersom

The one pic shows where Elder Terry was tagged, one the way the radio spell Bublè, and me with too big, crazy, expensive earmuffs.
