The week of quotes!! (1/15/24)
Hey!!!! What's up party people?!?! How's the snow??!! Are you liking it?? Or is it to cold for you? Or are you one of my friends in Florida and other warm places and it's killing you? Anyway, this week actually calmed down a bit and wasn't as wacky, but there's still enough wack to write about, so let's get to it!!
Highlights:
☆There were so many funny, (and sweet) things people said this week, that I had to start writing them down!
☆Elder Reynolds, the DL, asked if one of us sisters would give a traning in district council this week, and when I asked eho he wanted specifically, he said me cause I responded to his message first!🤦♀️🤣
☆We had a really fun exchanges this week!! Sister Gabron and Sister Pope are really good STLs!! We had so many lessons, and really got ro know each other!!🤩🤩
☆I GOT TO GO TO JUNGLE JIMS!! Jungle Jim's is a really big and fun grocery store, it's kinda like Costco but not too much. But it's so fun!! They even had a big barrel of dill pickles!! And they had this giant thing of like 762 year old cheese! Like what!?!
☆We got to have another district activity!!!🤩🤩 Usually we're only allowed one district activity per transfer, but since hit our goal of 223 baptisms in 2023, (we actually passed that and got 225) President told us to have a 2nd one and for the DL to make sure that it was fun! And it was! The Websters, (a senior couple) bought lunch for everyone and we ate that, played 9 square, and played some dice games!! It was so fun!!
☆I got to play with a pug puppy this week! So cute!!
I don't normally do this, but I had to share these few cause they're that amazing!!
Quotes that were so funny and sweet this week:
☆I was sleepin', I was snoozin', I was out👌- Sister Richmond
☆To let Jeus in your heart ❤️❤️ - 10 year old girl I taught on exchanges while talking about why baptism is important
☆Game on ladies! - Bishop Burrnet
☆They can't find the streamers, the forks, or the señoritas - me from listening to opera
Spiritual thought:
As I been thinking about it lately, I've come to realize just how important the priesthood really is! I've known that it's important my whole life and that a temple worthy priesthood holder is the #1 thing I want in a husband, but it's been interesting these last 7 months to see how others view the priesthood. I've seen it where some people take it for granted, and I've seen some who really know what they've got, and others who don't really understand it yet. I've come to really appreciate the priesthood and understand it a bit more, and those who hold those sacred keys. I couldn't be more grateful that I not only have one, but two men at home that are worthy and righteously use those keys. I hope that we can all stop and really appreciate those priesthood holders in our homes, wards, neighborhoods and everywhere!
Well that's about it for me! Hope that y'all stay warn this week and make it a good one! Write again soon!
Love Sister Alex Hersom!!
