To wacky for Western Hills (2/26/24)
You guys!!!! This week was absolutly nuts!!!! Ahhhhhh!!! But it was a while adventure!! But I hope yours was so good, and an adventure of its own. Well I suppose that you'd like to know just how crazy my week was, so let's go exploring!!
All the craziness:
So it all started Monday night at 10pm. We got a call from President. Which made me nervous, but it was all good! President told us that Sister Richmond would be coming back to Western Hills!! And that we would be in a trio!! And that we would pick her up in Kentucky the next day right before Zone council! (A mini zone conference, this one just had all of our role plays and stuff.)
So Tuesday we had out to Kentucky to get Sister Richmond!! (Love ya girl!!😘😍🥰) So we got her, then shot up to Liberty for lunch and zone council. Then towards the end, President calls again!! So after we got out I called him back, and basically we played phone tag there for a sec, but I got him after we got home. He then proceeded to ask me if I was nervous, because he asked it talk to me. (Which he never does) I told him yes, and then we talked for a minute before he told me that I was getting emergency transfered!!! (ETd) So then this week was a mix of work, packing, and saying goodbye to Western Hills, and Sister Eidemiller, and Sister Richmond, (again) Sad days!! So Friday comes, the day of the ETs, and I sadly say goodbye and get into the mission van with the APs!! Yep! I was in the car, with the APs, for a good half hour! Then we picked up another missionary who was also getting ETd. Then it was us 5, for another hour. So, yeah. It was a whole adventure, and I got some highlights out of it, so let's look at those!
Highlights:
☆☆☆☆I GOT SISTER RICHMOND BACK!!!!!!🤩😘🥰😍❤️❤️❤️❤️ It was for like 3 days, but we were comps again!!
☆We had some really good member dinners this week!! (I'm missing ya already Western Hills ward!!)
☆Zone council was good! I got to know some other missionaries and it was good!
☆The drive with the APs! Omgoodness you guys! The APs are so funny!! First, Elder Cook starts dis-ing on Bluey, so I explained it. And I was asking how long all of them had been out. Elder Wood has been out almost 15 months. Elder Cook just about 20 months, and Elder Roush goes home this transfer. Elder cook asked me how i knoew all that, and I just said that i pay attention to what they say in their intro zone videos and keep time. So yeah. Then we get to the other elders apartment to get the Elder who was being ETd. And the APs asked them for a snack. And the one Elder and I looked at each other and just kinda rolled our eyes. It was funny. THEN, we started to load the van with this elders stuff, and Elder Wood hands me a bag of soap and says: "Here, this is the most sister-esc thing." 🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣 So I said, "I can carry more. I'm used to moving a lot so, I can take more." He then proceeds to hand me the water bottle he was holding, and the elders' pros bag. 🤦♀️ Not what I meant, but it worked, so. Then the rest of the ride was good, nothing super funny until we get to Centerville, (where I was dropped off and the other sister was picked up) and we swap sisters, and as we're getting my stuff to my new car, Elder Roush asked what Miraculous cereal box was. So I explained it, and it was funny. Anyway...
☆Meet my new comp Sister Hopes!! She's pretty awesome! She came out the same time as me, and she's really funny, so it's a party!!
☆Sister Dahle is my STL!!!! This is gonna be a fun 2 weeks!!
☆I'm back in the Dayton area!! Welcome to the Dayton east zone!!
Anyway, so my whole week has basically revolved around these ETs, so it's been crazy. Anyway...
Spiritual thought:
Change. Change is hard. Or maybe you wanted a certain cahnge to happen and it did. But no matter what change happens, it's always going to come. Always. But despite what you think of change, there are 2 very big things we can learn from it. #1: Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father are always here for us, always!!! And #2: Repentance is the constant change that we need. Repentance literally means changing for the better. So! Repentance is not only feeling sorry and asking for forgiveness from God and maybe another person, it's also learning from it and changing our ways. Now are we going to never make this mistake again, probably not. Are we going to be perfect. No. But the important thing in this change, is that we are striving to be better and truly wanting help from God in our everyday lives.
Anyway, I hope that's y'alls week was fantastic, and that this upcoming one is going to be even better!! Thanks for all the love and support! Love and miss you all!
Also: Ladies and gentlemen welcome, to Beavercreek Ohio!
Love Sister Alex Hersom!
