Puddles and rainbows, and rainbow puddles! - Me (5/13/24)
Yeah, so this week I said that quote, (my email title) and I thought it was funny. There are no rainbow puddles, but there was puddles and a rainbow. Both made me happy this week!
I also hope that you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! (Happy late Mother's Day all you wonderful women!) And that you felt wanted an celebrated!
Ok this week was a good week so here we go...
Highlights:
☆Tuesday we went to visit this inactive member/ part member family, and they were were so cute! Their dog Goose is my new bestie and he so funny! They are awesome!!
☆Target is the place to be!! This week as we were walking around inside to be seen by people, this 16-17 year old boy comes up to us, turns his phone around to show us his friend, and then asks us if we think that his friend is hot.🤦♀️😂 We told him no, and he started asking us why. Like is he not your type, and we were like, no. Then he said that some girls had said that he was hot and that they were looking for them! Like broski, what?!!? 🤣🤣🤣 Sister Lambert and I walked out of there laughing in disbelief. But truly it was really funny!
☆We had a lot of rain this week! Which I love rain so yay! Sadly some of it turned to tornados, but thankfully we're safe!
☆District council was so fun! I honestly don't think that I've laughed that much in a district council since Springfield! It was fun and uplifting!!
☆I found a new friend this week! But sadly now he's ghosting us. Sad day.
☆I also met a girl named Natalie this week! She was so sweet and wanted to come to church! But she wouldn't give us her number! Really sad day! So I guess we'll see what happens!
☆Church was soooo good! The primary kids sang a cutie song. And then a cutie family had a cutie musical number! And then we had a Mother's day lesson mixed with the young women! It was so good!
☆Remember that inactive lady we visited? SHE CAME TO CHURCH!🥳🥳 We didn't even invite her, she just came!! Yay!

Spiritual thought:
Well, since yesterday was Mother's day, I'll talk about that! I do Mother's day a little diffent. Instead of just moms on mothers day, I like to celebrate all women. Because quite honestly all women are moms in a way. Weather its to their friends, siblings, coworkers, kids they teach, and everything in between! Women all around the world do so much for us on a daily basis. They help in offices and homes, farming to sewing, caring to fighting. They do a lot. Women have God given gifts to help them and to help fulfill their role in his plan. What would men do without women? What would women do without men? We truly both needed each other, and God had given us the talents and abilities we need to help each other. So, thank you, to each and every one of the amazing women in my life for their influence and unending love! I love you all!
Well that's it for this week! The friends we have rn are all ghosting us/ not responding. So, ya know, that's fun. But we have excited things this week! We have interviews and exchanges this week, so we'll see what happens! I love you all! And hope that you have a fantastic week!
Love Sister Alex Hersom!
