Party people time!!🥳🥳 (8/19/24)

Good morning everyone! I said good morning everyone! Whoa! What up party people?! (Bandit from Bluey) What's up y'all, I'm back! Welcome back to Ohio! This week honestly, I don't think too much happened. Okay well there was some stuff... so I guess you want to hear about it so let's jump in! Whoo!!

Some stuff:
☆ GUYS!! I WENT TO THE TEMPLE!!!!🥹🥹🥳🥳 IT WAS ABSOLUTEY AMAZING!! The members who took us were really nice, and it was a long car ride, but so worth it! Also driving out of the mission was fun.
☆ So in our ward, we have Elder and Sister Websters' son and daughter-in-law!! And you guys, this family is one of the funnest I've met so far!!! They have a love sack and in order to eat dessert we had to jump in it. And I'm proud to say that I'm the First Missionary that did not need a demonstration to jump into! I was just so excited to jump into it! (don't worry it wasn't anything dangerous, we were all following the rules😁) and they let us pet their chickens! So cute!
☆ District Council was really fun! I had bought some donuts and then decided to take them to District council. When I walked in with the donuts, Elder Roylance said:" Oh thank goodness I prayed for this!" 😂 glad I could make your day Elder Roylance!
☆So with our friend Sam, he asked if we could meet him at McDonald's. So we did, and he bought us something to eat. Even though we already had dinner, we were very full! But he was very nice and bought us food, so yeah. Otherwise Sam is doing pretty good, we're just trying to figure out how to best help him. It's interesting teaching someone that does not have a Christian background, it's kind of like we have to start from the very beginning with God and with Jesus Christ. But Muslims do believe a lot of the same things we do so, it's not super hard but it's not super easy either.
☆We had a back to school ward bbq!!! It was so fun!! I've been wanting BBQ all summer and I was finally able to have one!! We sat with the Satterfields, and their twins are just so funny! Gotta love teen drama! And we also participated in their games they had! We did a 3-legged-race, a water balloon toss, and a marshmallow catapult. We lost all of them, but the ward thought it was fun that we tried!!
☆Church was so good!! Camden came and so that's was great!! I wrote the plan of salvation on the board in Sunday school, (the missionary way spells love) and they thought that was cool!
☆We went to the Allan's for family home evening last night! They're so cute! She's actually our mission mental health councilor, so that's cool! We played a game wit them and really got to know them! Their just cuties!!

Friends:
☆Cameron is on a soft date!!🥳🥳 (that means it can change, but we're working really hard to help him make September 1st) He's doing good, he just needs to read the Book of Mormon everyday. We're meeting with him tonight, so hopefully we can help him figure out a plan for that
☆Camden came to church! He's a teen that the last sisters were teaching, we've just been trying to meet with him. Hopefully we can do that soon, but it's good he came to church!
☆Sam is good. He hasn't come to church yet, but he also does Uber until like 3 or 4 in the morning. Right now we're just trying to understand each other, and help him accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer.

Spiritual thought:
Today I'd like to talk about testimonies. Now whether you think you have one or not, I want you to know that you do have one. You have a testimony that food will give you strength, or that you need gas in your car to make it go. Right? And our spiritual testimonies can be just like that. It doesn't have to be big, or even something you know. It can be a simple, "I believe in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ" or "I believe the Bible and Book of Mormon to be true" and if you know these things, that's great! But if your struggling to know, that's ok. We're here to walk by faith, and part of that means stuggles, but that's also what can help grow our testimonies, and help us to really know these things for ourselves.

Okey-dokey party people, that's all I got for this week. Not too much, but not nothing. This week is transfers, (where has this transfer gone?!?🤯) so we'll see what happens! I love you all and hope that you have the bestest week ever!!
Love Sister Alex Hersom!
