If you give a pig a bath 🐖🛁 (10/28/24)

He's going to want some soap. And if you get the soap, he's going to want some brushes. And if you get his brushes, he's going to want to someone to scrub him. And that's when I come in!

Hey all! Hope you enjoyed my little parody/thing I made up! And I hope you've been enjoying fall! It's absolutely gorgeous out here in the Ohio fall, so I've definitely been enjoying it!! We had a lot if good things happen this week! So let's explore!

Exploring the week:
☆Service on Tuesday with the elders! We didn't see them a ton, but it was still cool!
☆We gave a pig a bath! Like seriously, we did! (Pictures in the album)
☆Zone Conference pt 1! We zoomed into the all Cincinnati zone conference for the 1st little bit. It was good.
☆We had our ward Halloween party! It was fun! And the chili was good! (Yours is still the best dad)
☆Zone Conference part 2! (In person) it was literally fire!!! Elder Daines of the 70 and his wife came! (Hence why we zoomed into the Cincy zone conference) We talked all about covenants, and how we should be viewing our covenants as they really are. A relationship with our Heavenly Father and with/through Jesus Christ! (More on this to come)
☆We started at 1,500 piece puzzle! Yes, 1,500. One-thousand, five-hundred. Fifteen-hundred. It's huge! Every time I work on a corner and it looks like it's mostly complete, I look at the rest of it and all the pieces and it's like I have more than one puzzle to do! It is fun though. Anyway...
☆We helped a less active member do her neighborhood Halloween fest! It was cute to see all the kids, help them play games, and give them candy! We did it with the elders too! It was fun!
☆Stake conference with Elder and Sister Daines! It was really good! Elder Daines asked a bunch of deep thought provoking questions on Saturday night. Sunday it was again all about covenants and how we should view them as relationships and that's why they're so important!
☆Plus at stake conference, (since I'm back in Dayton North) I GOT TO SEE MY SPRINGFIELD PEEPS!!🥳🥳❤️❤️🤩🤩 I saw a lot of the members I remember, and they were pretty excited to see me to!🥹😍
☆We had lots of member dinners this week! They were all delicious and the members here are so fun/funny!
☆This district I'm in, is actually hilarious! And it's so fun! We just talk, and talk, and talk. We truly could talk for hours, it's fun!

Quotes:
10/21-10/28
My sister doesn't love me - Elder Johnson
*A few minutes later, his sister calls*
*Gasp* My sister is calling!! She does love me! - Elder Johnson
I'll ask Elder Nettles, he'll know - Sister Brewer when she didn't know something

Friends:
☆Debbie we still haven't been able to meet with her 😔 She did come to stake conference though!! Hopefully this next week we can meet!
☆Kathy we meet with weekly! She taught Sister Brewer how to do a single stitch crochet, and we found that she actually does not believe in the trinity like we all thought she did! Score! She didn't come to stake conference though, we're not sure why...
☆Kiryn and Rusia are still the same as well... hopefully soon!

Spiritual thought:
So as I said before, Elder Daines talked about how we should be viewing our covenants as relationships. Covenants only bind us to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, because of Jesus Christ! Our covenants really are a relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We have to put in effort to know our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. President Russell M Nelson has told us that: "God will not abandon those who make a covenant relationship with Him." (Paraphrased) So now I'm trying to see through my covenants to Jesus Christ who makes them possible! It's cool!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed my little spiel there! We don't have to much going on this week, but I guess we'll see! Hope you all have a fantastic week, and I'll write again next week!
Love Sister Alex Hersom!
