Idk what happened to time... (12/2/24)
Like seriously how is it December already!?!? And again! How is it December already, again!?!? I don't even know!
Anyway, welcome back to the weekly! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and great week! My week was pretty chill. So let's go!
Things that went:
☆We had our district activity on Monday! We played chopped. Which basically turned into, we all made lunch for each other. But it was still really good!
☆Tuesday it was our turn to lead the Book of Mormon class and it was really good!
☆Wednesday was farm day! I got to show Sister Hunter how to do some of the feeding and it was fun! I love the farm!
☆Happy Thanksgiving!! Thursday was good! We still had district council because we literally had like nothing else to do. Then we cleaned the baptismal font because there was a baptism on Saturday! So we did that! It was fun! Later that night we went to the Cindrics for dinner! (Love them) They had most of their kids there. (Except their missionary and the one who lives in Washington) it was crazy fun! Oh! The elders were there too! So fun! So after dinner we helped with dishes then we went downstairs and played pool against the elders! And we won! (We won because Elder Cummings hit the 8 ball into the pocket before it was supposed to so) but we still won!
☆Saturday was Mike's baptism!!!🥳🥳 We got to go! And it was so good! Mike was so happy and the spirit was so strong!! It was awesome!
☆So funny story. After Elder Cummings baptized Mike, he forgot to drain the font. So after the baptism and we're all cleaning up. We realized that the font was still full. Sister Brewer was going to get in to unplug it, but then Seth (new member in Tipp City who loves hanging out with us) was like: Nah, it's all good. I got it" So then Seth gets in the font in his white shirt and suit pants to drain the font! Which is good, but it was even better to watch! It was hilarious! There were some pics taken, so as soon as I get those, they'll be on my Google photos album! After Seth finished draining the font, the elders had some shorts and a t-shirt that he could wear! Honestly it was all just to funny!
☆We then had district lunch, (with Seth) at Chick-fil-A! Yummy! We all crammed into a corner and it was just fun!
☆Church was good! Sister Brewer and I ended up having to lead our Sunday School class because the teacher was out of town, and the elders got sick. So it was a good thing we lead the class on Tuesday.
☆We also had a really good lesson with Kiryn Sunday afternoon! It was so good!

Friends:
☆Debbie has been out of town with family for Thanksgiving, so we haven't met with her this week.
☆Kathy were going to stop teaching because you can tell in lessons she's just not interested.
☆Kiryn is doing so good! She said she wants to work towards baptism. And we had a really cool lesson with her yesterday!
☆James had to work, so he couldn't come to church. Hopefully we get to meet this week!
Spiritual thought:
Merry Christmas all! It's officially the Christmas season! So this week my thoughts are on this special time that we get to celebrate the Saviors birth! Christmas is more than a day. It's more than a season/month. It's a feeling. It's a yearning to do as the Savior would. I once asked my mom why she loves Christmas so much. She told me that it's because of the overall feeling of this time of year. People want to do good. They want to help. The more I paid attention, the more I realized that she was right! People truly want to help and be nicer around this time, even if they don't celebrate Christmas for the same reason we do. I love the feeling of Christmas. I love everything about Christmas, but I truly most love the feeling that's here this special time of year. So even though you're busy this time, shopping, work, parties, all the fun stuff. Make sure you're making time for the real reason this season exists! And that is Jesus Christ!
Alright all, that's all for this week! Thanks for reading and following along! I hope you all have a wonderful week! I'll write again next week! Love you all!
Love Sister Alex Hersom!
