The only normal week this transfer (12/9/24)

Hey, hey, hey everyone! Welcome back to Ohio! I hope you all had a wonderful week! Mine was slower-ish, but there was still stuff that happened, so let's go exploring!

Stuff to explore:
☆Tuesday we had our regular Book of Mormon class and that was fun as always!
☆Wednesday we had the farm! I literally love going to the farm so much! It's so fun!!
☆Our poor elders have been kinda sick this week! Elder Cummings started to not feel well after the baptism last Saturday, so he's been resting for a few days. We'll Wednesday he went to urgent care to see what'd going on. So the elders asked to use our car! Obviously we said yes! So after service we drove to the elders to drop off our car. The Tipp Sisters drove us home. A few hours later, the elders were done using our car, so we had to go pick it up. How? You may ask. We walked! We live about a 5 minute drive from the elders, which translates to about a 30 minute walk. So we walked to the elders apartment to get our car! We counted red cars on the way cause why not?! It was fun!
☆District council! I love this district! It's so fun!
☆We filmed an ad for our Facebook mission page! It was fun! But freezing!! It was so cold! But so fun!
☆Sister Brewer and I sang a duet of Baby, its cold outside. (In the car)
☆Chrismas parties!!! A member had a ladies Christmas party on Friday and Debbie came! It was soooo fun! It was a white elephant gift exchange, so it was fun to talk to and get to know some sisters and laugh together!
☆Saturday was the ward Christmas party, and that was good too! There was a Tom of food, so now we missionaries have a ton of leftovers! And they're delicious!
☆Church was sooo good Sunday! We had a combined yw and relief society, so it was good!
☆After church, one of our Zone Leaders called us and it was so funny just talking to him!
☆Sunday afternoon lessons and visits! We had a good lesson with Kiryn! We talked about the plan of salvation with her! We then went to the Cindrics for dinner! (Love them!!) Then to the Gardners for the First Presidency Christmas devotional!! It was sooo good!

Quotes:
I killed Sister Brewer! - Elder Nettles after he said something that made Sister Brewer laugh really hard
I only believe in sleeping. And Jesus - Sister Brewer
Spicy just today? You're always spicy - Sister Cindric to Sister Brewer
I wanna go to relief society so bad! - Elder Hammer
You made homemade crack? At church? - Elder Hammer (we said homemade crafts btw. He just misheard and it resulted in something hilarious)
You saved me some right? - Elder Hammer in the same conversation
I think I Killed Sister Hersom - Elder Hammer
*Elder Hammer's impressions of Sister Brewer*

Friends:
☆Kiryn is well and is understanding what we're teaching her! She came to church yesterday!!
☆Debbie is also doing well, she also came to church and hopefully this week we will meet with her!
☆Kathy we did stop teaching for now. We told her that she's always welcome to come to church and activities and such, but it doesn't seem like she's very into it right now.

Spiritual thought:
I loved the 3 gift ideas that Elder S. Mark Palmer gave during his talk at the Christmas devo last night!
1. The gift of our testimony
2. The gift of forgiveness
3. The gift of charity
I love how he emphasized that even though they cost nothing, they are priceless. We can share our testimony to those around us and through our actions. We can forgive other despite the challenge it can amd very well may be. We can love other even if they don't like us. I know that is difficult, but I also know how blessed we can be. These ate wonderful gift ideas I encourage you to try out this Christmas season!

Well, that's is all my lovelies! Thank you for coming back to read! I hope you all have a wonderful week! Write again soon!
Love Sister Alex Hersom
